HHS 405(d) has released new resources to help cybersecurity professionals protect their healthcare organizations.
The HICP 2023 Edition has been updated by over 150+ industry and federal professionals and includes a new identification of the top-5 threats along with mitigating practices.
Knowledge on Demand is a new free cyber training platform located on the HHS 405(d) Website- 405d.hhs.gov- Under the “Education” tab. This new cybersecurity education platform includes multiple delivery methodologies to reach varied size healthcare facilities. The platform includes five cybersecurity awareness trainings that align with the top five cybersecurity threats outlined in the HICP 2023 publication and its accompanying two volumes.
The Hospital Cybersecurity Resiliency Landscape Analysis reviews active threats attacking hospitals and the cybersecurity capabilities of participating hospitals operating in the United States. The Landscape Analysis conducted a deeper investigative study into both the methods that cyber adversaries are using to compromise US hospitals, disrupt operations and extort for financial gain. It then benchmarked these results to specific practices of the Health Industry Cybersecurity Practices (HICP) in order to outline the most meaningful protections to these specific threats.
