For compelling patient safety reasons, healthcare IT executives often focus their connected-devices security program on the medical devices at the bedside. However, as more and more non-bedside, even non-clinical, devices are connected to the network, it’s incumbent on IT professionals to know what, and where, they are. That’s because the correct functioning of those devices is critical to continuity of care and, thus, patient safety. For example, if a network-connected elevator is hacked, it’s entirely plausible patients can’t be transported to the surgical suites, etc. In this important webinar, we’ll speak to leaders about how they’re working to secure not only IV pumps by the bed, but the refrigerators, cameras and other devices that ensure patients can get to the care they need.
