While many CIOs have found the rush to meet Meaningful Use unpleasant, Ed Collins has found it invigorating. In fact, Collins says he doesn’t think the strides Martin Memorial has made would be possible without the Stage 1 attestation deadline in hand. Today, Collins is knee-deep in an Epic rollout, a journey the organization embarked upon after determining its Meditech/Allscripts environment wasn’t the best fit for the future.
