Imagine being able to discuss healthcare treatment options and their associated costs with your physician, in their office, just like you do with your plumber before he starts working. Imagine your healthcare coverage being verified, your claim submitted, and your portion of the bill calculated before you leave the exam room or hospital. To put it another way, what if a restaurant menu had no prices, and after you ate, they had the liberty to bill you a trickle at a time for three months after your meal, including the fees for food, napkins, glassware, forks, plates, and the minute-by-minute services of the waiter, chef, and dishwasher. Recently, we released an RFP that will change healthcare billing to function with the same sanity as the rest of the world. :)
