With almost 30 years in healthcare IT, many of them as a CIO, it’s hard to find someone with more experience than Bill Montgomery. After a few years out of that role, he’s back in a big way, taking on the CIO position at 13-site Hospital Sisters Health System. To learn more about Montgomery’s plans for HSHS, goals for working with Meditech, and thoughts on meeting Stage 1 Meaningful Use criteria, healthsystemCIO.com editor Anthony Guerra recently caught up with the seasoned CIO.
(We apologize for the fact that Anthony Guerra’s side of the audio on this Podcast is suboptimal. However, Montgomery comes through loud and clear. During the interview, reference is made to another Podcast that healthsystemCIO.com did with John Haffty, an independent Meditech-focused consultant.)
