Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Bergen County, N.J., is replacing its existing clinical and financial systems with McKesson. The 520-bed medical center will replace its clinical systems with an array of McKesson Horizon Clinicals solutions. These include CPOE, point-of-care bar-code medication administration, and interdisciplinary clinical documentation for nurses and physicians. On the financial side, Englewood will implement Horizon Enterprise Revenue Management and business intelligence solutions.
As part of the deployment, the hospital will also implement an electronic “whiteboard” — which provides information on patient status and location, as well as real-time clinical alerts — in its new $35 million emergency care center. The center features 40 large private treatment rooms, fast-track triage for adults and children, and a dedicated imaging center.
