Why should I participate?
To share best practices and lessons learned with colleagues.
To make sure the rest of your health system knows what your team is bringing to the table. Sometimes other departments wonder what IT is doing with all its budget dollars. This is a chance to showcase your work. I can send you the registration page URL as soon as it’s created.
To earn CHIME CHCIO continuing education unit (CEU) credits. Our Webinar program has been endorsed in its entirety by CHIME so that presenters are eligible to claim 1 credit for presenting and 1 credit for every hour that goes into preparing for the event. Attendees of our Webinars may claim 1 credit. If you have this certification, great. If not, these credits are a great way to satisfy your initial requirement should you wish to attain it.
To support healthsystemCIO.com. Sponsored webinars constitute one of our main sources of revenue. If you find the content we produce valuable, this helps ensure we’ll continue producing it.
Can I suggest edits to the topic headline and description? Yes. We will make every effort to accommodate your changes.
What is your exact event agenda? All our events run 45 minutes and follow the format below:
- Your PowerPoint-Supported Presentation (20-30 minutes)
- A Word From Our Sponsor: if applicable (5 minutes)
- Q&A With Anthony Guerra or Kate Gamble (10-15 minutes). We review questions that come in from the audience and pose them to you.
What can you tell me about the presentation I’m supposed to create and deliver? Presentations must be vendor neutral/vendor agnostic. You will receive detailed presentation-creation instructions and a PowerPoint template about a month before our event.
Can you share the names of some past speakers with me? Sure. If you decide to participate, you’ll be in good hands. We have produced dozens of webinars over the past few years and so have a reliable process in place. You’ll also be joining some good company — past/upcoming speakers include: Deanna Wise, CIO, Dignity Health; Marc Probst, CIO, Intermountain Healthcare; Daniel Barchi, CIO, Yale New Haven Health System; and Jim Noga, CIO, Partners HealthCare. A full listing of our speakers and events can be found here.
What if I would like to suggest someone else on my staff to deliver the presentation or have them join me? Only health system CIOs (and occasionally CMIOs) are eligible to serve as featured presenters in our Webinars. If there is someone on your staff who is closer to this issue than you, feel free to collaborate with them beforehand on your presentation, but we can only accommodate your direct participation.
What if I would like to participate but not on the topic suggested? Let us know your preferred topic. We are always looking for great presentations and will certainly be open to your suggestions.
